And sometimes they get in the machines.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Noir Radio Theater suffered technical difficulty in the presentation of the conclusion of The Island of Deadly Enchantment.

    Hear the complete version here.

Tune in Thursday October 29 at 8:30pm for a special noir ghost story. SCARY.

The gremlins also got to the most recent edition of the Indie News Hour.

Catch up with Olivia Weeks and the reporters of the Provincetown Independent as they cover the upcoming election.

  • Brand New Show!

    Posted: October 4th 2020 @6:18 PM

Tim Miller and Tony Raine both arrived on the planet in 1955. Tim is from Detroit and Tony is from the North of England. The two geezers washed ashore on Cape Cod many moons ago and made their living in movies and music until COVID put an end to all of that. From a decades-old friendship, a mutual love of rock’n’roll and film, and a podcast concept, T’n’T has evolved into Tim and Tony’s Rock and Pop Show on WOMR. New episodes premiere at midnight on Sunday each week and available for streaming on demand.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to our Summer Fundraiser, we met our goal. The New Member Challenge was a big hit and lots of you responded. We look forward to thanking all of our members on the air for the next year.

Of course, you can still get a hat or a mug or a t-shirt to show your pride in supporting community radio.

  • New Member Challenge

    Posted: August 7th 2020 @6:43 PM

The board and volunteers of WOMR have put together a fund of $6000 to encourage listeners to become members. While they last, these funds will be used to match your donation, allowing you to become a member at half the normal price.

    Limited time offer:

    Basic Membership – $30
    Sustaining Membership – $90
    Business  Membership – $150

Get one for yourself or your friends and family. Imagine your frenemies surprise when they hear their name on the radio! Help us reduce our deficit and get the warm and fuzzy feeling associated with support for community radio. Just choose the “Half price” option when checking out at our donate page or call 508-487-2619. We’ll match your donation and you’ll get all the rights, privileges and side effects of being a member in good standing.

Donate $60 or more to the station and we’ll send you one of our handsome new bandanas as a thank you gift. We’ve also got t-shirts, mugs, caps and socks that you can add to your collection. You know what to do!

We apologize for the inconvenience, but the signal at 91.3 is off the air as we move from one tower to another in Orleans. The signal at 92.1 from Provincetown should be as strong as ever, and the internet stream is solid too. We hope to be back to normal at 91.3 in the first week of August. Stay tuned.

Although things have changed, local arts organizations remain committed to keeping you entertained and stimulating your curiosity.

    Marx Brothers at WHAT

    7pm Mondays in August

Marc Strauss will host the first five Marx Bros. films on Zoom. Set during the Pre-Code Censorship era, from 1929 to 1933, these films star Groucho, Chico, Harpo, and Zeppo. Co-hosted by Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater, Dr. Strauss will present historically contextualized Introductions, showing of the movies, and post-screening discussions with participants.

New mug design to match your socks.

    Don’t have the socks yet?

    Read on, my friend.

Fabulous footwear. They’re odd and they don’t match. Just like us.

Would you like a shirt or a hat? Of course you would.

  • COVID-19 Statement

    Posted: March 13th 2020 @9:48 AM

The spread of the coronavirus is being taken very seriously by the staff and volunteers of WOMR. We realize the impact it can have on everyone that comes into the office, the listeners and the broader community. We are prepared to continue operating during the pandemic.

We are well stocked with disinfectant wipes and are using them on a regular basis. We are currently making preparations to hold committee and other staff meetings remotely. We are also making preparations to take the entire operation remote and close the office. Although we are proud of our open door policy at the station, we ask that visits be temporarily restricted to essential business.

We have asked that any of our volunteers who are even slightly symptomatic to stay home.  Additionally, any volunteer who feels uncomfortable being in the studio for any reason has been invited to take some time off. As a result, you may hear some pre-recorded programming instead of your favorite show.

We will continue to monitor the situation daily and we’ll make any changes as necessary and as recommended by the CDC, WHO and local authorities. For up to date information about how the virus is affecting the Cape, as well as statements from local and regional authorities, check out the resource page at Lower Cape TV.

We’ll get through this together. While maintaining an appropriate social distance.
