This Mother’s Day Weekend celebrate with an awesome choral group, Ensemble Companio! Mothers and children under 14 are free.
Ensemble Companio (Joseph Gregorio, director) is a chamber choir whose members come from all over the northeast United States.
The choir’s name comes from a late Latin form of the word “companion,” whose etymological meaning is “one with whom one shares bread.” It reflects their belief that partaking in choral music is an essential, nourishing, and healing endeavor — akin to the sharing of food. They are continually awed by the unique power of choral singing to open minds and hearts, form bonds between listeners and performers, and provide spiritual sustenance. With an eye toward this, Ensemble Companio formulated its mission: to build bridges between people through authentic, inspiring performances of the finest choral music.
