Join CORD on Tuesday, August 19th at 2:00 p.m. at CORD at 106 Bassett Lane for a free screening of the POV movie, “My Way to Olympia,” a film on the Paralympics by Niko Von Glasow, a filmmaker with a disability. In the opening shot, Von Glasgow declares that he hates sports and that “the Paralympics is a stupid idea.” Yet as the story unfolds, his own stereotypes about disability and sports get delightfully punctured.
This event is a collaboration with the award-winning documentary series POV (www.pbs.org). A special thank you to Aaron’s in Hyannis for donating the use of their equipment.
Call CORD at 508-775-8300 or 1-800-541-0282 (both numbers V/TTY) to RSVP. This is a scent-free event. CORD requests that people attending refrain from wearing perfumes and other scented products.
