The Outermost Contra DREAM TEAM is back.
Come dance to Cape Cod’s favorite multi-talented local caller, John Alden! John will be accompanied this month by the incredibly talented duo: Rose Clancy on fiddle and Max Cohen on guitar. Rose Clancy is Chatham’s well-known fiddler, performer, fiddle maker, teacher, and session musician (https://www.chathamfiddlecompany.com/rose-clancy-fiddler). Max Cohen is an accomplished finger-style guitarist and vocalist (https://www.maxcohenmusic.com/max/).
Contra dancing is the older cousin to the square dance. No fancy footwork needed – if you can walk, you can dance! All the dances are taught and called. If you’re new to contra dance,or just want to polish your skills be sure to come at 6:30 for a “Contra Skills” workshop.
Come to dance or come just to listen. All are welcome. Admission is $15, $10 for those under 30, $5 with student ID
