Nothing takes the edge off the holidays quite like the beloved soundtrack to “A Charlie Brown Christmas” by Vince Guaraldi. Since the “Peanuts” holiday special first aired in 1965, its score has become one of the most recognizable jazz recordings of all time.
“A Charlie Brown Christmas” concert celebrates the pure, unadulterated meaning of Christmas. Three of the Cape’s finest musicians: Malcolm Granger on piano, Rich Hill on bass, and Michael Dunford on percussion are joined by the Cape Conservatory’s Youth Choir for this live benefit performance.
Admission is free, but attendees are asked to bring supermarket gift cards from Stop & Shop, Star Market, Shaw’s, Trader Joe’s, BJs, and Whole Foods, with a minimum value of $10. The gift cards will be donated to Housing Assistance Corporation’s Angel House, which serves mothers with substance abuse issues and their children.
Those who are unable to attend the concert may drop off their gift cards at the CCftA box office.
