As part of the Brewster Ladies’ Library’s Sunday Concert series, the Library invites you to a performance by Joan Kirchner and Richard Bush. They will be performing “Beyond the Rainbow,” the music of Harold Arlen. Harold Arlen was a major composer of the 20th century best known for his score for “The Wizard of Oz”, but he wrote many other screen scores as well as over 500 songs. Some of his other famous tunes include “Come Rain or Come Shine,” “Stormy Weather” and “Get Happy.”
Richard Bush is a Julliard graduate pianist and composer based in Dennisport. Joan Kirchner is best known as a classical singer on Cape Cod, appearing as a soloist with the Falmouth and Chatham Chorales and the Cape Symphony. Richard and Joan have done several recitals together, featuring the works of various composers of the Great American Songbook, including Cole Porter & George Gershwin.
This concert will take place on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.
