You’re invited to a theater performance at the library! “Last of the Red Hot Lovers,” a play by Neil Simon, will be performed by Ron and Linn Jacoby. Ron and Linn Jacoby have been acting together and directing each other for over 40 years on The Cape, in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, and New York, entertaining hundreds of thousands of people. At the Brewster Ladies’ Library, they have performed, “Love Letters,” and most recently, “Same Time Next Year.” This play, “Last of the Red Hot Lovers,” tells the tale of a Manhattan seafood owner, Barney Cashman, who is going through a mid-life crisis and looking for that one special moment, something beautiful to remember. He uses his mother’s apartment for three assignations: 1) with a customer, 2) with a girl he meets in Central Park, and 3) last but not least, with his wife’s best friend.
This event will take place on Sunday, March 10 at 1:30 p.m. Admission is free.
