The 47th and final concert season of the Woods Hole Folk Music Society will continue on Sunday, February 24 with a performance by fiddler and singer Lissa Schneckenburger, accompanied by rhythm guitarist Bethany Waickman. Admission is $20 with discounts for members, seniors, youth and children. Community Hall is handicapped accessible, and street parking is free after 6 PM.
Vermont-based Lissa Schneckenburger is a skillful fiddler who captures the driving rhythm and carefree joy of dance tunes old and new, and a singer who brings new life to ancient ballads and contemporary folk songs. She began playing fiddle at the age of six, and by high school was playing concerts on her own, specializing in the lively New England dance tunes that developed from the music of the British Isles and Quebec.
