ONCE the musical

The Academy of Performing Arts is presenting one Saturday-night preview of the Tony-winning musical romance “Once” this weekend before the show runs through much of December. The story: In Dublin, an Irish musician and a Czech immigrant are drawn together by their shared love of music, a collaboration that grows into a complicated love story.
The lovely score includes the Oscar-winning “Falling Slowly,” and the Academy will set up the stage as a working Irish bar, with preshow and intermission entertainment. Shows are at 7 p.m. Nov. 27, then 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays Dec. 3-19 at the Academy Playhouse, 120 Main St., Orleans.
