Online Talk: Laura Ludwig Dicusses The CCS Beach Brigade

January 14 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The beaches along the Cape Cod National Seashore are long, sandy, popular and very, very clean — right? Upon closer inspection, Laura Ludwig, of the Center for Coastal Studies, reveals that plastic pollution is a problem that plagues even the cleanest beaches on the planet.

The virtual talk is part of the Alzheimer Family Support Center of Cape Cod’s monthly lecture series

Ludwig, who started the Marine Debris & Plastics Program at CCS in 2012 and who heads up our dedicated Beach Brigade volunteers, offers a presentation that features photos of the beautiful Seashore, our volunteers and the amazing amounts of trash they tally, and the compelling data collected over the past few years during annual Beach Brigade shoreline cleanups. She shares the usual suspects, Top Ten, and unique discoveries, and perhaps, by the end of the presentation you will want to join our Brigade!

To register, email info@capecodalz.org and write SCIENCE in the subject line. In the body of the email please write your name, the name(s) of those who will be joining you; a phone number; your email address; and the physical address from which you will be calling.
