The Great Music on Sundays @5 concert series, now in its 21st consecutive year, presents the ANNUAL PIANO & ORGAN CELEBRATION at the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House of Provincetown, 236 Commercial Street, at Sunday, May 26 at 5pm. The once-a-year Instrument Trust Maintenance Fund Annual Concert is presented every Memorial Day Sunday as a special event.
The concert features pianists Paul Bisaccia and John Thomas; organist Roger Castellani; vocalists Mozelle and Christopher Sidoli; and the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House Choir with director Mary Abt and pianist Brenda Silva. The event includes piano, organ, vocal and choral music from diverse musical genres.
The concert includes piano music by Beethoven and Lecuona, a piano duo arrangement of music from Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition”, organ music by Bach and Handel, the choral anthems “Rise Up” and “I Believe”, songs from Broadway musicals and Billie Holiday classics, and much more.
Everyone is welcome to attend the May 26 Piano & Organ Celebration. Suggested donation for the Instrument Trust Maintenance Fund concert is $20 or whatever can be contributed. All door proceeds for the May 26 concert will be deposited in the Instrument Trust Maintenance Fund to keep the Steinway grand piano and 1850 Holbrook tracker organ in good repair.
