Union Cemetery Walk and Tour

The Atwood Museum and Chatham Historical Society is happy to announce a new Cemetery Walk and Tour for October 28, 2022. Join us for a stroll through Chatham’s beautiful and historic Union Cemetery, the resting place of some of Chatham’s most famous and influential residents. A guide will walk you through the cemetery, as actors playing four selected Chatham residents– Joseph C. Lincoln, Alice Stallknecht, Levi Atwood, and Margery Atwood—educate you on their lives and their lasting impact on Chatham. The tour will be a roughly 1-hour walk through Union Cemetery. Afterwards, we will return to the Atwood Museum where you can learn even more about these four (and many other) important figures in our town’s history while enjoying coffee, hot chocolate, and apple cider donuts.
