Richard has explored the medium of relief since 1975\, when he was first enamored with the medium’s ability to combine elements of drawing\, painting\, and sculpture to create three-dimensional “holographic” illusions that change in appearance as the viewer moves and as the light on the reliefs change.

All are welcome. \nMixed-media collages by artist Pia MacKenzie are being displayed in the Craine Gallery in her “Secret Gardens” exhibition through August. Pia has exhibited her work in over 40 solo and featured artist shows. Throughout her extensive career\, she has been a teacher\, illustrator\, graphic designer\, fine artist\, and more. Her life experiences\, education in fine arts\, and travels through Europe and Africa have helped her develop her unique and colorful style. The works in this exhibit consist of elegant collages featuring natural imagery on vibrant backgrounds.

DESCRIPTION:Shake off the winter doldrums and join us in the Craine Room of Snow Library for an afternoon of photography and poetry by the award-winning sibling duo\, David Mullen and Mary Beth Hines.  Dave\, a Yarmouth-based photographer who teaches at the Cape Cod Arts Center\, will share photographs from the Cape\, Africa\, and elsewhere\, as well as insights on his process. Mary Beth will read image-inspired poems from her collection “Winter at a Summer House” and share her thoughts on art as inspiration for writing. \nA Q&A will follow\, along with the chance to learn more about Dave’s classes or to purchase a copy of “Winter at a Summer House”\, which is also available at Snow and other Cape libraries.
