SUMMARY:EGH Film Fest: The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari
DESCRIPTION:One of the most famous and influential films to come out of interwar Germany\, The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari is as visually striking as it is sinister. Widely considered to be one of the great progenitors of the film noir and horror genres\, it follows the titular Dr. Caligari as he arrives in town with a box containing his strange\, sleeping assistant. After a series of horrible crimes\, Franzis\, a close friend of one of the victims\, rushes through the movie’s highly-stylized\, hand-painted sets to investigate the mysterious doctor. But perhaps all is not quite as it seems…
