SUMMARY:Artist Reception at Snow Library
DESCRIPTION:Visit the Craine Room to meet Beverly Fuller\, the artist behind the colored pencil works currently on display in the Craine Gallery. Her exhibition\, “The Fine Art of Colored Pencil\,” will be displayed through November. All are welcome. \nBeverly lives with her husband Jon in East Orleans. Throughout the years\, she has worked in acrylics\, pen and ink\, and oil stick. She developed her skills in colored pencil in 2001\, under the tutelage of the late Richard Kenerson at the Academy School in Orleans. She enjoys the precise detail that can be achieved with pencils and specializes in landscapes. Beverly is a member of the Cape Cod Art Association\, Cotuit Center for the Arts\, and the Colored Pencil Society of America.

DESCRIPTION:Join Cape Cod naturalist Thomas Walker in the Craine Room of Snow Library for a lecture on the macrofungi that are found on Cape Cod. Macrofungi\, otherwise known as mushrooms\, take on many forms and roles within their environments. The unique landscape of Cape Cod contains diverse populations of mushrooms that are crucial to the land and all its inhabitants. Thomas will guide the audience on a journey into the wonderful world of macrofungi by sharing pictures of specimens he has seen throughout the years and explaining their unique features.   \nAdmission is free and all are welcome.
