SUMMARY:Come From Away
DESCRIPTION:The Performing Arts Program at Cape Cod Community College (4Cs) proudly presents Come From Away\, opening April 9\, 2026\, on the Main Stage of the Tilden Arts Center. This acclaimed musical tells a remarkable true story of compassion\, generosity\, and connection in the wake of an unexpected global crisis. \nCome From Away is based on the events of September 11\, 2001\, when 38 planes were diverted to the small town of Gander\, Newfoundland\, and thousands of stranded passengers were welcomed by local residents. The show captures how ordinary people responded with extraordinary kindness\, forging connections across cultures and circumstances. \n“This is a story about choosing care in moments of uncertainty\,” said Vana Trudeau\, Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator for the Performing Arts Program at 4Cs and the Director of the show. “Come From Away reminds us that community is built through action—through empathy\, understanding\, and the simple decision to show up for one another. Bringing this story to our main stage feels especially resonant right now.” \nCome From Away runs April 9–25\, 2026\, with evening performances Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Saturday matinees at 2:00 pm. An opening night reception will follow the Thursday\, April 9 performance\, inviting audiences to celebrate the production with the cast and creative team. Show ticket prices range from $10–$25 and are available by calling the Tilden Arts Center Box Office at 774.330.4044 or by visiting TildenArtsCenter.Ludus.com.

SUMMARY:Natalia Bonfini Band
DESCRIPTION:Born and raised right here in Eastham\, Natalia first picked up guitar at age 7\, musically inspired by her drummer dad\, and soon after started busking in Provincetown. Those early years of street performing quickly thickened her skin and taught her how to captivate any audience\, no matter the stage. A finalist on season 20 of American Idol\, she auditioned with The Allman Brothers’ “Whipping Post”\, and finished in the top 50 of over 100\,000 contestants. She has since performed alongside tremendous national acts and is an award winning songwriter\, her single “Before” taking the top spot in the New England Songwriters Competition. Reinventing your favorite covers\, Natalia mashes up genres from soul to pop to classic rock\, but always finds a way back home to her blues roots. With a sound reminiscent of Janis Joplin and commanding lyrics such as those of Alanis Morissette\, she comes alive on stage and is a must-see. Backed by an incredible band who are all local to the Cape; drummer Dave Ellis\, bassist Pat McDonough\, and guitarist Keb Hutchings\, the group is thrilled to make their CCMoA debut! SUMMARY:Natalie Cressman & Ian Faquini
DESCRIPTION:The trombone\, particularly in jazz and popular music\, has for some time now been enjoying a resurgence in popularity\, fueled by a number of highly talented younger performers; one of today’s major exponents of this trend is Natalie Cressman. From performing with Santana\, Phish\, and Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio along with any number of great jazz artists\, Ms. Cressman has developed a unique voice. She brings this and her exquisite songwriting skills and vocal talents together with her husband\, Brazilian guitarist/singer/composer Ian Faquini\, her perfect match in talent\, energy\, and creativity. Their music is an indescribable esthetic blending of the jazz tradition\, Brazilian tradition going well beyond the more familiar strains of Bossa Nova\, and their own originality which is much greater than the sum of its parts. I had known of them\, and two years ago had the pleasure of hearing them live at Yarmouth’s Music Room\, and was determined to bring them to the outer Cape. THIS IS NOT TO BE MISSED! This event is brought to you by John Wolf dba/BONEHENGE MUSIC in cooperation with Wellfleet Preservation Hall. Tickets are on sale now; click on the link https://www.eventbrite.com/…/natalie-cressman-concert…\, or go to Preservation Hall’s website at https://www.wellfleetpreservationhall.org.

SUMMARY:Tuesday Talks: Bird Migration on Cape Cod and Photography
DESCRIPTION:Bird observation isn’t about chasing rarities — it’s about awareness. Growing up in the woods and marshes of South Chatham\, Kimberly Robbins learned to pay attention long before she ever picked up a camera. In this talk\, she will share how the quality of light\, the time of year\, tidal shifts\, and the simple act of listening shape what we discover during migration on Cape Cod. When we engage all of our senses\, migration becomes less of a checklist and more of a relationship — with the birds\, and with the landscape itself.

SUMMARY:Thomas Dolby
DESCRIPTION:Perhaps best known for blinding us with science\, Thomas Dolby has always blurred the lines between composition and invention. \nThomas Morgan Robertson (born 14 October 1958)\, known by the stage name Thomas Dolby\, is an English musician\, producer\, composer\, entrepreneur and teacher. \nDolby came to prominence in the 1980s\, releasing hit singles including “She Blinded Me with Science” (1982) and “Hyperactive!” (1984). He has also worked as a producer and as a session musician. \nDolby is associated with the new wave movement of the early 1980s\, a form of pop music incorporating electronic instruments\, but Dolby’s work covers a wide range of musical styles and moods distinct from the high-energy pop sound of his few\, better-known commercial successes. \nIn the 1990s\, Dolby founded Beatnik\, a Silicon Valley software company which developed the polyphonic ringtone software and created the Nokia tune. Its technology was used in more than half a billion cell phones. He was also the music director for TED Conferences. On the faculty at the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University since 2014\, Dolby leads Peabody’s Music for New Media program\, which enrolled its first students in the fall of 2018.
