Since settling in New York City in the fall of 1998\, Pedrito has recorded or performed with Wynton Marsalis\, Paul Simon\, Paquito D’Rivera\, Chucho Valdez\, Bruce Springsteen\, Eddie Palmieri\, Dave Matthews\, Jackson Browne\, Elton John\, James Taylor and Sting\, and has contributed to well over 100 albums. A consummate master of Afro-Cuban folkloric music and the batá drum he is also the world’s first-call rumbero—playing\, singing\, and dancing with dozens of Cuban rumba groups and contributing to\, or appearing in\, several important Cuban films. Clarinetists Jon and Alec will join the string players to perform Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor – even though the modern clarinet had not been invented in Bach’s time! \nAward-winning Israeli violinist Kobi Malkin was praised by the New York Times for his “aptly traversed palette of emotions\, from languid introspection to fevered intensity with gorgeous tone and an edge-of-seat intensity.” Grace Park is an internationally acclaimed violinist who recently gave her debut recital at Carnegie Hall\, praised by the San Francisco Chronicle as “fresh\, different\, and exhilarating.” \nBrook Speltz is the award-winning cellist of the internationally renowned Escher String Quartet and an artist of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center who also performs on extensive tours with the cello rock band Break of Reality. Danielle Farina\, Principal Viola of the Cape Symphony\, is a member of the Festival Orchestra of Lincoln Center (formerly the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra) and the American Ballet Theater Orchestra\, and performs locally with Giocosa Chamber Music\, the Chatham Chorale\, and Cosmos Sessions with Cape Symphony concertmaster Jae Cosmos Lee. \nSince completing his Master’s degree at The Juilliard School\, clarinetist Alec Manasse has enjoyed a lively and varied professional life. Alec plays regularly with many of New York City’s top ensembles\, including the Metropolitan Opera\, the American Ballet Theater Orchestra\, and the American Symphony Orchestra. He also frequently played in the Orchestra of Sweeney Todd on Broadway. \n*We are fortunate that pianist Orli Shaham will join us. The New York Times called her a “brilliant pianist\,” and the Guardian said Orli’s playing at the BBC Proms was “perfection.” Orli has performed with many of the major orchestras around the world and appeared in recital from Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a night of classical music at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church. The Atwood Museum is welcoming back award-winning Georgian-American pianist\, Ana Glig (Gligvashvili). Ana is a pianist and teacher who has performed in solo\, chamber\, and orchestral settings in the United States and Europe. Glig is recognized for her “virtuosic command” and ability to “capture hearts”. Glig currently lives on Cape Cod\, where she performs\, teaches\, and works as a Music Director at the First United Methodist Church in Chatham.\nAccompanying Ana is renowned cellist\, Jacques Lee Wood. Mr. Wood exhibits a dynamic\, expressive\, and thoughtful style. He has garnered attention as a soloist\, recitalist\, and chamber musician of the highest caliber. From a musical family of Korean and European heritage\, he began his music studies from a young age – first on the violin\, then on the cello. Mr. Wood has traveled the world performing solo\, recital\, and chamber music concerts collaborating often with some of the world’s finest musicians.

The summer will feature the glorious musical Sunday in the Park with George\, July 29 – August 24. We have an exciting TBA play scheduled September 17 – October 12. Our season will conclude with the romantic musical comedy\, She Loves Me\, running November 6 – December 7. Our outdoor daytime children’s programs will feature the Cape premiere of the hilarious The SpongeBob Musical: Theatre for Young Audiences Edition playing June 25 – August 28 and Puppets\, Paul and Mary’s Summer Bucket List\, June 24 – August 26. \nCape Cod Repertory Theatre Company\, Inc. is a 501c3 organization\, founded in 1986 as a company dedicated to creativity and professionalism. DESCRIPTION:Tuesdays at Salt Pond closes with a local group who will sing sea shanties\, Celtic and folk music. The group is based on the Lower Cape. Their work features fiery fiddling\, a sing-a-long and dance-a-long. They perform familiar songs and new songs from many countries and cultures. \nSponsored by Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore. \nAll events are weather permitting. The Salt Pond Visitor Center is located at 50 Nauset Road\, Eastham\, Massachusetts. Attendees are\nencouraged to bring bug spray.
