Many began as plein-air studies of the harbors\, villages\, and expansive shorelines. Working outdoors allows McPhillips to respond directly to the shifting weather and tide. He continues from those first observations to create his finished works. According to Jonathan\, “Allowing for deeper consideration and reflection\, I can let a group of inspirations grow together and form their stories. This process helps me to honor the light\, atmosphere\, and history of the places we cherish.” \nJonathan McPhillips\, a cum laude graduate of Connecticut College with a BFA in Fine Art\, celebrates the coastal splendor of New England. Equally adept in the studio or on location\, Jonathan’s work encompasses harbors\, beaches\, vessels\, and the distinct architecture of the coastal marine environment. \nWith an impressive list of awards and accomplishments\, Jonathan’s artistry has garnered national and international recognition. His work has been showcased in various U.S. embassies through the “Art in Embassies” program by the U.S. Department of State. As an esteemed member of various professional art organizations\, including the Providence Art Club\, The Salmagundi Club\, NY\, and the American Impressionists Society\, Jonathan continues to evolve and inspire\, bringing to life the allure of coastal New England.

DESCRIPTION:Internationally acclaimed saxophonist\, vocalist\, and composer Grace Kelly brings her extraordinary talent to The Spire Center for 2 shows on August 8.  A Massachusetts native and fan favorite at the Spire Center\, Grace played her first professional gig while in middle school. She has released 15 albums and performed in more than 40 countries across over 1\,500 concerts. In addition\, she is a Yamaha Artist\, former member of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s house band\, and a graduate of Berklee College of Music and the youngest member of the Berklee’s Board of Trustees. Grace has appeared at the Hollywood Bowl and the Kennedy Center and has been a featured soloist with the Boston Pops. Her high-energy performances blend jazz\, funk\, and pop into a signature sound that delivers an electrifying live experience.
