DESCRIPTION:Cape Rep Theatre Presents its first ever FREE costume giveaway April 11\, 2026 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. These are wearable everyday items looking for a second life. Donations are appreciated but not required! \nHave you ever seen a show and though “Gee\, I wish I had that outfit for myself!” or “Gosh\, Anthony looks so good up there in that gorgeous Hawaiian shirt” Well do we have good news for you! In an effort to keep our pre-loved clothing from our shows out of landfills\, Cape Rep will be hosting its first ever FREE costume giveaway! We have all shapes\, sizes\, decades\, colors\, frills\, prints and more that we are dying to see step out of the spotlight and onto your beautiful bodies! Come support sustainability and get some fabulous new wardrobe pieces. Anything that doesn’t go will be donated to the Family Pantry of Cape Cod.

All roles are available. We are looking for actors with a wonderful sense of comedy and physicality for our upcoming production of Tom Stoppard’s The Real Inspector Hound\, directed by Holly Erin McCarthy. Please prepare a short comic monologue of a minute or so. All listed roles are available. \nAuditions are by appointment but walk-ins will be seen on a first come\, first served basis in between scheduled appointments. Please email a request for an appointment along with a headshot and resume to auditions@caperep.org. \nRehearsals start on or about May 25\, 2026\nProduction dates are currently scheduled for: June 24 – July 19\, 2026 in the Indoor Theater \nThe Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard \nSummary: A comedic spoof of an Agatha Christie-style whodunit in which two theater critics become entangled in the very murder mystery they are reviewing. In The Real Inspector Hound\, Tony and Academy award-winning playwright Tom Stoppard has crafted a witty and gripping tale in which identity is as variable as a mustache. \nAvailable Roles and Character Breakdown:\nMOON – Second string theater critic of a major newspaper in London. Ambitious but insecure.\nBIRDBOOT – First string theater critic with the “other” major London paper. Has a bit of an ego. Married but a womanizer.\nMRS. DRUDGE – The dutiful maid who sees and hears everything that goes on in Muldoon Manor.\nSIMON GASCOYNE – Young\, dashing\, self-absorbed\, flirty.\nFELICITY CUNNINGHAM – Young\, very attractive\, enjoys tennis\, Cynthia’s friend.\nCYNTHIA MULDOON – The Lady of the Manor and wife of the missing Albert Muldoon. She is wealthy\, upper class\, beautiful.\nMAJOR MAGNUS MULDOON – The half-brother of Albert Muldoon. Or is he?\nINSPECTOR HOUND – A Holmes-like detective.
