SUMMARY:Chatham and 100 Years in the Cape Cod Baseball League
DESCRIPTION:Mike Richard will touch on the early history of baseball on Cape Cod dating back to the 1800s\, and the beginning of the Cape Cod Baseball League in 1923 (of which Chatham was among the four original teams).  He will discuss the 8 former Cape League players who made it to the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame\, mention some of the outstanding baseball players of the past who began on the Cape and went on to star in the pros\, and also cover some unique and interesting facts about the Chatham A’s and Anglers over the years. At the end of the lecture\, there will be a baseball trivia quiz on former Chatham players who later starred in Major League Baseball.
