SUMMARY:Deer Tick
DESCRIPTION:Known as a phenomenally rowdy live act who once averaged 250 shows a year\, Deer Tick brings an infectious\, anything-can-happen energy to every performance. Catch them live at Payomet in N. Truro on Saturday\, August 22\, for a night of music that is as spontaneous as it is electrifying. \nDeer Tick is a Providence\, Rhode Island rock band built on deep chemistry\, a shared sense of humor\, and an unrelenting love for the unpredictability of live music. Founded by singer-songwriter John J. McCauley in 2004\, the band — rounded out by guitarist Ian O’Neil\, bassist Christopher Ryan\, and drummer Dennis Ryan — has spent two decades refusing to limit themselves\, creating a sound that is raw\, restless\, and utterly their own.

SUMMARY:The Meditations
DESCRIPTION:Known internationally as Jamaica’s legendary harmony trio\, The Meditations have captured the hearts of Reggae fans globally. This led to collaborations with Lee Scratch Perry. Scratch\, who was producing for Bob Marley And The Wailers at the time\, asked them to do background vocals on Punky Reggae Party with Bob on lead vocals. Bob Marley was so pleased with their harmony that he went in search for the group to do more backing vocals for him. He requested harmony and background vocals on songs like Rastaman Live Up and Blackman Redemption. In fact\, The Meditations’ harmonic vocals can be heard on some of your favorite tracks such as Bongo Man\, Youths Them A Cry by Jimmy Cliff\, and Mr. Cop by Gregory Isaacs\, to name a few.

SUMMARY:Valerie June
DESCRIPTION:At Payomet in N. Truro on Sunday\, August 30\, with an evening unlike any other. Valerie June is a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose singular voice and genre-defying sound — blending psychedelic folk\, country soul\, blues\, indie rock\, and symphonic pop — creates a sonic universe entirely her own. Drawing comparisons to one-of-a-kind vocalists like Billie Holiday\, Karen Dalton\, and Tom Waits\, June’s artistry is as rare and captivating as it is deeply rooted in Southern tradition. \nPraised by Bob Dylan and beloved by fellow artists across generations\, June has shared the stage with an extraordinary range of musicians including Robert Plant\, Willie Nelson\, Mavis Staples\, Norah Jones\, Elvis Costello\, and many more. Her live performances are intimate\, transportive\, and utterly unforgettable — the perfect way to celebrate the last days of summer.

SUMMARY:Margo Price
DESCRIPTION:Margo Price brings her fearless\, truth-telling sound to the Payomet tent on Thursday\, September 3. Nearly a decade ago\, she turned Nashville on its head with her breakthrough debut Midwest Farmer’s Daughter\, showcasing an artist completely unafraid to double down on classic country written from the intellect and the gut\, at a moment when the genre needed it most. Respected by peers\, praised by critics\, and beloved by fans\, she carved out a lane where independent-minded\, insurgent country music can exist and thrive\, and became an ardent fighter for her beliefs in a genre where the norm is to shut up and sing. Her latest album\, Hard Headed Woman\, is both a look forward and a look back: a love song to a city and a genre\, and a defiant cry for individuality. Catch her live and you will understand why she has cemented herself as one of the most fearless and vital voices in American music today.

SUMMARY:A Matinee with Tom Rush
DESCRIPTION:A true icon of American folk music\, Tom Rush returns to the Payomet Tent in Truro for a matinee performance on Sunday\, September 13th at 5:00pm. For decades\, Tom has been one of the most influential figures in folk music\, helping shape the folk revival of the ’60s\, the folk-rock movement of the ’70s\, and the renaissance of the ’80s and ’90s\, leaving his stamp on generations of artists including James Taylor\, Emmylou Harris\, Tom Petty\, and Garth Brooks. His early recordings introduced the world to Joni Mitchell\, Jackson Browne\, and James Taylor\, and his Club 47 concerts helped launch the careers of Nanci Griffith and Shawn Colvin. Now celebrating five decades of touring\, Tom Rush is as vital and engaging as ever\, still doing what audiences love him for: writing and playing\, passionately and tenderly\, knitting together the musical traditions and talents of our times. We hope you’ll join us.

SUMMARY:Sons of Cream
DESCRIPTION:Nearly 60 years after Eric Clapton\, Ginger Baker\, and Jack Bruce burst onto the scene as one of the first supergroups\, Payomet welcomes the next generation. Sons of Cream brings together Ginger’s son Kofi and Jack’s son Malcolm\, joined by Ginger’s great nephew Rob Johnson\, celebrating the iconic music of their fathers on Saturday\, October 4. Recently signed to Marshall Records\, the band releases Half and Half in early 2027\, a mix of Cream classics and original material that goes beyond the conventional blues-rock idiom. Expect a night of blistering\, exploratory songs and improvisation.
