This delightful and exceptionally talented couple sings southern song-duets and play powerful fiddle\, guitar\, mandolin\, banjo tunes. Erynn spent many years learning from older fiddlers and singers in the Virginias\, Kentucky and North Carolina. Carl toured and recorded with Norman Blake and his song\, Last Time on the Road was featured on the grammy-award winning album “Unleashed” by the Nashville Bluegrass Band. They have won many awards for their playing and performed in Canada\, Europe\, Australia and China. They have 17 recordings between them including the Old-Time Sweethearts project (produced by Marshall/Eddy) featuring 12 old-time music couples from across the US. www.dittyville.com

SUMMARY:Irish Appalachian Fusion Concert with Deborah Silverstein and Claudine Langille
DESCRIPTION:Come hear the music of two trailblazing east coast artists: Deborah Silverstein and Claudine Langille on October 26\, 2024\, 7pm at Wellfleet’s oldest existing schoolhouse\, Pond Hill. \nClaudine and Deborah have been immersed in writing\, performing and developing musical connections with musicians and audiences up and down the east coast and beyond for the last five decades. \nClaudine\, who lives in Vermont\, learned the exciting Irish flat picking tenor banjo style from Charlie Piggot of De Danann while living in Galway. Best known for her tenor banjo and mandolin playing in Touchstone with Triona Ni Dhomhnaill (Bothy Band)\, she has written songs that continue to be played internationally. Her most recent releases have been collaborations with The Fiddletree (2 albums) and with Victor Paul\, You are my Flower – Songs of the Original Carter Family. Currently playing with Vermont’s Gypsy Reel\, she brings to music a warm mix of traditional and original acoustic music from around the world. \nDeborah Silverstein is a lifelong singer-songwriter and recording artist. She was a founding member of Boston’s New Harmony Sisterhood Band\, whose album “And ain’t I a Woman”\, now resides in the Smithsonian FolkLife collection. Her subsequent solo release “Around the Next Bend” was nominated for Boston Music Awards folk album of the year. Her song\, Draglines\, became an environmental anthem. She has sung with an a cappella quartet\, Taproot\, women’s ensemble\,  Shirella\, and Band of Erics\, who backed her solo 2016 album\, “Precious Time”. Currently\, she lives in Asheville\, N.C. and is focused on the debut of her full length musical drama. Riveted is a 3 generation play depicting the issues that emerged during the Rosie the Riveter generation\, their daughters and the millennial generation of today’s women.
