Join us for the premiere season of Arts Empowering Life’s Arts & Entertainment Lecture Series at the new Performing Arts Center in Brewster! Journey back in time to learn about the function and fashion behind the trumpet from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century, from the earliest known sounds to some of the most impressive solo works of the high baroque era, and get a glimpse into the lives and careers of trumpeters in ages past. This lecture will be presented by Dr. Jared Wallis, Assistant Professor of Baroque Trumpet at the Eastman School of Music, with years of performance experience and enthusiastic study of early music and period instruments.
