Emergency Preparedness Talk at Snow Library

May 25 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Join us in the Craine Room of Snow Library to learn how to prepare for storms and other weather-related events. The winter of 2022-2023 included a hurricane, a Nor’easter, a blizzard, and a tornado, resulting in power outages for many in our community. Chip Reilly, Emergency Preparedness Director for Barnstable County, will share best practices for preparing for storms and floods to keep you and your loved ones safe.

In this workshop, you will learn:

– How to build an emergency kit

– Emergency Preparedness for Individuals with Disabilities and Access and Functional Needs

– Safety tips for sheltering in place

– How to support your family and neighbors before, during, and after a storm

Admission is free and all are welcome.
