Flora & Fauna at Brewster’s Ponds

The Brewster Ponds Coalition invites you to participate in this colorful and informative program on Wednesday, July 29th, from 1:30-3 PM, during which two speakers will explore the exciting and often overlooked splendor of the ponds that dot our Cape Cod landscapes. Insects, reptiles and amphibians, birds, mammals, and plants are often overlooked by the casual observer, yet the diversity that is observable every day on a casual walk is amazing and enlightening.
Local respected Field Naturalist and author Peter Trull will share photos, anecdotes, and information that will increase your depth of knowledge related to the life in and around Brewster’s ponds that we embrace and protect. Then, Julie Hambrook, APCC Pond and Cyanobacteria Program Manager, will describe the APCC’s Cape Cod Pond Watchers Bio-Survey Program. She will explain how you can report your own observations of plants and animals around ponds to contribute to the understanding of the ecology of Cape Cod ponds.
Bring your curiosity about the beautiful space we live in as this session will surely not disappoint! Join us at the Brewster Ladies Library, on Wednesday, July 29th, 1622 Main Street in Brewster, from 1:30 – 3 PM The event is free and open to the public.
