Join the Edward Gorey House and Thacher Hall for a crash course on traditional handlettering and create Edward Gorey-inspired letterform artwork of your very own.
In observation (and dubious celebration) of the 2026 EGH exhibit O Sordid Type: Edward Gorey’s Art of Lettering, the House and Thacher Hall invite you to an evening of writing the alphabet in various ways. Learn the history of the typefaces Gorey drew his inspiration from and design letterforms of your very own. Tickets include refreshments and light snacks, as well as a pen, nib, ink, and specialty paper – all of which are yours to keep.
