Grief 101 at Snow Library

Join representatives from Sharing Kindness in the Craine Room for a presentation that covers “the basics” of grief: what it is, how it impacts our brains and bodies, and how we can support people in our lives who are going through it. Sharing Kindness is a nonprofit dedicated to providing mental health education and grief support throughout Cape Cod.

Grief is a natural response to loss. Yet many bereaved people report feeling misunderstood and abandoned by their friends and communities due to a lack of education about the needs of the grieving. This program is designed to give attendees helpful tools for dealing with grief in their lives while discussing their experiences with it.

Admission is free and all are welcome. Resources are available as part of the event, including a Child’s Grief Book Pack gifted by Sharing Kindness to each host library.
