We’re back dancing! Welcome to a new season of Outermost Contra Dance.
Our first caller of the season is Dereck Kalish, a talented and enthusiastic caller, who accommodates all skill levels of dancers. He is a well-known caller in the New England contra dance community and we are happy to have him kick off our season.
We are extremely proud to welcome back two talented musicians to accompany Dereck’s calling: Jacqueline Schwab on piano and Rose Clancy on fiddle. Come to dance, or come to enjoy the music and fun!
Contra dancing is the older cousin to the square dance. No fancy footwork needed – if you can walk, you can dance! All the dances are taught and called. No need to bring a partner to join our friendly dance community.
If you’re new to contra dance, or just want to polish your skills be sure to come at 6:30 for a “Contra Skills” workshop. All are welcome. Admission is $15, $10 for those under 30, $5 with student ID
