Last chance for a dance before summer break! Come on out to Outermost Contra Dance for some great music, dancing, and friendly folks.
Our caller this month is Eastham resident Pat Nash. Pat is known for her fun, beginner-friendly style of teaching.
Pat will be calling to the great music of local Eastham musicians, Billy Hardy and Beth Sweeney on fiddle and keyboard. Music from the Scottish, Irish, French-Canadian, Bluegrass and Appalachian fiddle traditions will inspire you to get up and dance!
Contra dancing is the older cousin to the square dance. No fancy footwork needed – if you can walk, you can dance! All the dances are taught and called.
If you’re new to contra dance, or just want to polish your skills be sure to come at 6:30 for a “Contra Skills” workshop.
Come to dance or come just to listen. All are welcome. Admission is $15, $10 for those under 30, $5 with student ID
