Outermost Contra

Contra dancing is the true traditional New England dance, brought here by the Irish, English and Scottish settlers. There is no fancy footwork in a contra dance – if you can walk, you can dance! Outermost Contra dances are led by an experienced caller and present the best dance musicians on the Cape – and beyond.

Outermost Contra is family friendly and welcomes dancers of all levels. If you are new to contra or just want to polish your skills, be sure to come to the Contra Skills walk-through at 6:30. No need to bring a partner; there are plenty of friendly people in this welcoming dance community.
