Reading: Liz Pelly and Damon Krukowski
Outer Frequencies partners with the Cordial Eye in Hyannis for a night a reading by two authors and cultural critics:
Liz Pelly is author of Mood Machine, an unsparing investigation into Spotify’s origins and influence on music, weaving unprecedented reporting with incisive cultural criticism, illuminating how streaming is reshaping music for listeners and artists alike. Excerpts from Mood Machine were featured in Harper’s, and the book was a New Yorker, GQ, The Daily Telegraph (London), and Library Journal Best Book of 2025. Damon Krukowski was a member of acclaimed band Galaxie 500 and plays in Damon & Naomi. His newest book Why Sound Matters is a poignant consideration of the material aspect of sound and how it fundamentally shapes our experience of the world, both in its presence and absence.
