On a July weekend in 1969, while three astronauts were on their way to the moon, six women traveled to Martha’s Vineyard for a party on the beach. The next morning, only five women were left alive. “Summer of the Senator” imagines what those other five women went through the morning after the party. Why did their friend disappear that night? Why was she last seen getting into a car with a US senator? And are the people working for the senator more interested in covering up what happened than they are in figuring out the truth?
