The power has flickered at the Schoolhouse more than a dozen times this afternoon (Friday). Although we have a generator to keep things powered at the studio, we have experienced periodic interruptions of the broadcast. This may be due to various electronic devices having to restart every time we switch back and forth between municipal power and generator power or it may be that the power at our main transmitter on Mt. Gilboa in Provincetown is going off at the same time. This also affects our transmitter at 91.3FM.
Thank you for your patience as we wait for things to cool down a bit. Apparently the machines don’t like the heat wave any more than the rest of us.
Although we would love to invite everyone to train to become a DJ, we’re unable to welcome new volunteers into the office due to the pandemic. New contributors are welcome if able to work from home. Call the office at 508-487-2619 to find out how to get started or contact matty@womr.org
