The power has flickered at the Schoolhouse more than a dozen times this afternoon (Friday). Although we have a generator to keep things powered at the studio, we have experienced periodic interruptions of the broadcast. This may be due to various electronic devices having to restart every time we switch back and forth between municipal power and generator power or it may be that the power at our main transmitter on Mt. Gilboa in Provincetown is going off at the same time. This also affects our transmitter at 91.3FM.
Thank you for your patience as we wait for things to cool down a bit. Apparently the machines don’t like the heat wave any more than the rest of us.
We welcome everyone who would like to be a DJ. Volunteers can get trained regardless of experience or current openings on the broadcast schedule. Contact matty@womr.org or call the office for more information.
