Chad Hanson on Wild Fires

So far in 2017 about 1.2 million acres have gone up in flames in California. One fire in Ventura County alone burned down an area the size of Detroit. My guest is a fire ecologist who says we should let fires burn: that too much money and too many lives are lost suppressing wildfires that actually allow wildlife to thrive. What to do: stopping building houses too close to forests and fireproof the homes already there. Live stream and podcasts on WOMR.ORG.
