Cantrip and Low Lily

High-energy Celtic and Scottish traditional folk band Cantrip, and Low Lily, known for adding a little pop twist on a traditional folk/Americana sound, co-headline the show at the Spire Center on September 5. Formed originally in Edinburgh nearly 25 years ago, Cantrip is known for their driving rhythms, intricate arrangements, and blending traditional Celtic music with unexpected influences like funk, metal, bluegrass, swing, and klezmer. Low Lily’s Liz Simmons (guitar & vocals), Flynn Cohen (guitar, mandolin & vocals), and Elsie Gawler (fiddle, banjo, vocals) blend their considerable individual talents into a stylistic bouquet of energetic fiddle music, introspective folk, bluegrass, and Americana.
