Cape Symphony Presents: Exit 11 Concert Series – Mama Said String Band

Cape Symphony Presents is proud to launch the Exit 11 Concert Series: Live at the Orpheum, a five-concert residency bringing world-class artists and diverse musical traditions to Chatham’s beloved Orpheum Theater. From jazz-infused holiday celebrations to candlelit chamber music, road-tested songwriters, and bluegrass reinvented for today, this series showcases extraordinary performers in an intimate setting.
Each concert is designed to highlight artistry, storytelling, and connection, creating unforgettable experiences that bring the Cape Cod community closer to the power of live music.
Closing out the series, Mama Said String Band brings their award-winning sound from Louisville, Kentucky to the Orpheum. Since their debut in 2016, this four-piece ensemble—David O’Neal, Katie “Didit” Caudill, Kaitlen Farmer, and Kris Potts—has redefined grassroots bluegrass with a fresh take that blends traditional folk, Americana, and contemporary harmonies.
Winners of Lexington Music Awards’ Album of the Year and Best Bluegrass Band at the Appalachian Arts & Entertainment Awards, Mama Said String Band has built a devoted following across the U.S. with their soulful vocals, strong songwriting, and eclectic instrumentation.
