Earth Day Dune Shack Walk

Welcome to Spring! Earth Day is on the horizon. 

You are invited to celebrate Earth Day with us for a walk to the historic C-Scape Dune Shack, managed by the Provincetown Community Compact. The walk will be led by Jay Critchley, artist and executive director of The Compact, and will include a history of the storied shacks and a tour of thIs historic dwelling. The trail to C-Scape is an easy mile hike partly on hard ground and partly on sand, or depending on the water table, a walk along the beach.

The Compact is celebrating its 34th anniversary in 2026 of nurturing community. Our mission is to advance the health and cultural well-being of Provincetown and the Outer Cape – its people, the arts, the natural environment and the economy. Our initiatives include: Dune Shack residencies, our Think-ubator program, Prayer Ribbons, the Swim for Life (the 39th benefit is September 12, 2026) and our new Underrepresented LGBTQ+ Communities project, and other special projects.
