Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra presents “Legacy”

The Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra’s upcoming concert celebrates Eastern European musical heritage through three compelling works, each shaped by its historical and cultural moment.

At the heart of this program is a deeply personal tribute. Musician Sophia Szokolay performs a Violin Concerto by her Hungarian grandfather, Sándor Szokolay. Composed months before the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, the work gained international recognition and established the young composer at a pivotal moment in Soviet-era history.
