Mottley James Presents: Thacher Does Dylan – A Birthday Tribute to the Songs of Bob Dylan

Local songwriters will pay tribute to the songs of Bob Dylan in a wide-ranging presentation of some of his classic works, in the intimate setting of Thacher Hall in Yarmouth Port. Band members: 

Bode Corona is a guitarist and singer/songwriter born and raised on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He takes great influence in song and activism from artists like Dave Matthews, Bruce Springsteen, and Neil Young.

Derek Dibbern is a Cape Cod-based singer-songwriter, poet, and storyteller known for blending Americana roots with romantic and countercultural influences. Originally from Nebraska, he moved to Massachusetts in 2022 and has since become a regular performer across the Cape.

Kathleen Healy is a Cape Cod native, and a folk musician, who has always admired Dylan’s poetic lyrics and his willingness and ability to speak truth to power. Kathleen has long been inspired by the women artists who felt moved to cover Dylan’s music such as Joan Baez, Mary Travers, and Nanci Griffith.

Jim Nosler is a singer songwriter from Austin, Texas now living on the Cape full-time. His music can be characterized as southern roots, coastal vibes and sing-alongs. He will be sharing his own songs and songs influenced by his years in Texas and sharing stories along the way. Jim is also active on WOMR radio with his music program, “Southern Routes,”  and his podcast, “Outer Waves with Mottley James.”

The Father and Son Team of Karl and Joseph Hoyt round out the rhythm section on Bass and Drums/Percussion. Karl has been active on the Cape’s live music scene for decades, as well as being a skilled luthier and educator. His passion for music and craftsmanship have been passed down to his son Joseph, who is also a wood and metal artist, instrument builder, and active member of the live music scene.

 

Parking Note:  There is no parking at Thacher Hall. Parking is available just across Route 6A from Thacher Hall around the Common, as well as at the Post Office and Chapter House Inn. Crossing attendants will be available to assist with crossing Route 6A at the designated crosswalk in front of Thacher Hall.
