A morning workshop from 10am-12pm with Christopher Azzara (PhD) will provide fun and fascinating opportunities for hands–on and in–the–moment improv – conversations and spontaneous expressions of musical ideas—for all ages. After the workshop, join us for a lecture at 3:30pm.
This lecture is an interactive session that will explore the fundamental nature of music in our lives, and include the relationships among music listening, improvising, music reading, and composing. With an understanding of how these skills are related, participants gain a deeper understanding of music and have inspiration for creative music making.
