Outer Frequencies concert

November 7 @ 6:30 pm

OUTER FREQUENCIES, a not-for-profit arts initiative dedicated to connecting Cape Cod audiences with independent artists and musicians, proudly announces its next event, Friday, November 7th at 6:30 pm at Christ Church Episcopal in Harwich Port. An all-ages concert featuring local and touring bands, this event marks the 8th in a developing series that continues the group’s vision of community connection and growth via the arts. The concert will feature three independent experimental artists hailing from Washington DC and Cape Cod.

Sensor Ghost: Sensor Ghost is a no-wave art-punk trio from Washington, DC, featuring Mike Andre (bass/vocals), Amanda Huron (guitar), and Sam Lavine (drums). The band’s spiky songs have been known to leave listeners in a discombobulated trance. Former/current projects include Puff Pieces, Antelope, Weed Tree, Light Beams, Vertebrates, Stigmatics, and Impetus Inter. Like the aforementioned groups, Sensor Ghost owes a debt to the freaked-out sonics and iconoclastic creativity of the storied DC punk scene. The band’s first LP, “Irritation on Demand,” was recorded with Ian MacKaye and Don Zientara at Inner Ear Studios over a few feverish days in March of 2024. This is their first area appearance.

James Rosato and Thomas Moses will be performing a live improvised multimedia noise set, using tape loops, guitars, synthesizers and drum machines. Rosato performs solo under the moniker Hypnagogue, and Thomas Moses is known for his solo work under the name Dunehaus.

Free Kombucha: Free Kombucha is an out jazz trio from Cape Cod.

Admission to the concert is $15 cash or Venmo, at the door only. Doors open at 6:30 pm with performances starting at 7 pm. The show is open to all ages in a drug and alcohol-free environment. Beverages and snacks available by donation. Christ Church Episcopal is located at 671 MA-28, Harwich Port.

OUTER FREQUENCIES is committed to supporting the greater DIY community. A portion of proceeds from this show will be donated in memory of Ann Everton of Darsombra, a Baltimore musician who died unexpectedly on October 3rd. Darsombra headlined Outer Frequencies’ September 5th show in Harwich Port.
