Outer Frequencies: Optic Sink and Visual Learner
Outer Frequencies presents its ninth show, featuring multiple touring bands:
Optic Sink is a post-punk band from Memphis. This trio relies on synthesizers and drum machines to move the crowd with propulsive sounds. Optic Sink visits Cape Cod midway through a tour in support of their new album Lucky Number (Feel It Records). Visual Learner is a four-piece band from Minneapolis specializing in heartfelt, melodic punk rock with a gruff edge. The band’s debut LP Greg was recently released by Salinas Records. The Ace King Draw are a local duo who bring a post-rock edge to traditional arrangements, featuring guitarist/vocalist Brendan O’ Donnell and stand up bassist Jake Finney. Since their recent formation, the duo has recorded multiple digital singles.
Admission to the concert is a $15- 20 sliding scale payment, cash or Venmo, at the door. Doors open at 6:30 pm with performances starting at 7 pm. The show is open to all ages in a drug and alcohol-free environment. Beverages and snacks available by donation. Christ Church Episcopal is located at 671 MA-28, Harwich Port. A portion of proceeds from this show will be donated to Food Not Bombs Cape Cod. FNB distributes free vegan food to all interested community members on Tuesdays from 5 -6 pm on the corner of Main Street and Center Street in Hyannis.
