Pop Up Practices In The Park: Syd Straw

Singer/songwriter and guitarist Syd Straw first made a name for herself as part of the Golden Palaminos, a band led by Anton Fier that enjoyed a large cult following in the ‘80s. Her unique blend of folk-rock and blues rock has made her a favorite on adult, alternative radio stations. On her album, “Surprise,” she was joined by Don Was, Michael Stipe, Ry Cooder, Marshall Crenshaw, Richard Thompson, John Doe, and Daniel Lanois. We are thrilled to welcome her to the Pop-Ups!
