The Stephens – Sondheim & Schwartz: A Broadway Cabaret

A One-Night-Only Musical Fundraiser Celebrating Two Broadway Legends

Two of Broadway’s most iconic composers, Stephen Sondheim (Into the Woods, Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music) and Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Godspell), are celebrated in a dazzling evening of music and storytelling in The Stephens – Sondheim & Schwartz: A Broadway Cabaret, a one-night-only fundraiser benefiting the Wellfleet Cultural Council.

This special concert, taking place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Wellfleet Preservation Hall, features Wellfleet residents Carolyn Rogers (Great Music on Sundays at 5:00) and Broadway veteran Kevin McMahon (Wicked, Bright Star, City of Angels). They are joined by acclaimed Boston and Provincetown cabaret star Frankie Campofelice, with musical direction by Andy Lantz.

The evening will feature a mix of beloved classics from Sondheim and Schwartz, including favorites from Wicked, Into the Woods, Pippin, and Company, along with rarely performed gems from Passion, The Baker’s Wife, Hot Spot, and Children of Eden.

This event is underwritten, in part, by Wicked author Gregory Maguire, whose generous support helps bring this celebration to life. VIP tickets are $75, which includes preferred seating and a complimentary cocktail, and $40 for general admission.

All proceeds will support the Wellfleet Cultural Council’s grant-making efforts, which fund arts, cultural events, and educational initiatives that enrich the greater Wellfleet community. Last year alone, the Council doubled its state grant allocation through fundraising efforts and provided much-needed funding for twenty-three individual projects or events.
