David Panagore

David Panagore is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Mercedes Cab, which was founded in 1983 in Provincetown, MA, and has steadily expanded to serve Cape Cod, Boston, and beyond with a diverse range of transportation services. Before joining Mercedes Cab, David was the Chief Administrative Officer of the MBTA for nearly five years, and prior to that Town Manager of Provincetown for four years. He is a ten-year resident of Provincetown, with family roots in Eastham. David worked his way through college and grad school in theater and rock n’roll, spending many summers at the Cape Playhouse in Dennis, where he once shared the stage with Bob “Gilligan” Denver.

After he stopped working rock n’roll and theater, he spent 30 years managing complex public projects, agencies and communities with a particular focus on finance and development before coming to Provincetown. During David’s time in Springfield he was a regular guest on local talk radio, which led to his Town Talk radio show on WOMR while he was Town Manager, for which he is forever grateful to WOMR.
