Rob Visconti

Local Provincetown resident and modern-retro music super-fan Rob V spins “future classics” — modern music with a nostalgic soul — on WOMR.

Rob joined WOMR as a volunteer DJ in December 2023, and in 2024 his original program, “Eighties Remixed and Reimagined,” was born. His passion for retro and electronic music goes back to growing up in the Eighties — from tween years through high school and college — and to his time playing synth-keyboard in a garage band. The music, sounds and culture of that era left an indelible mark and continue to inspire what he plays today.

In 2026, Rob evolved his original program into what you now hear on WOMR: “Future Nostalgica.” The show features remixes and remade classics from the before-times, completely reimagined for today, mixed alongside contemporary artists and DJs who draw inspiration from the past while breathing new life into familiar sounds. You’ll get those warm nostalgic feels, but the music vibes like the next new thing. It’s all about celebrating classics across genres and decades — with a twist — and carrying them forward into the future.

Tune in to “Future Nostalgica” with Rob V on WOMR and join the fun.
