When you need a little Bop-De Bop in your Rama Lama Ding Dong, tune in to Peggy Sue’s Record Hop – alternating Saturday mornings from 6-9 AM. Always broadcasting comfort music LIVE from the upstairs Lumbar Lounge atop the WOMR studios in Provincetown.
Peggy Sue features mostly pre-British invasion rock, pop, rhythm, and blues from the Golden Age of AM radio, sometimes mixing in Italian Classics! Tune in or log on to hear what radio might have sounded like in the 1950’s and early 60’s.
You can listen to “The Hop” any time of day for up to two weeks after it airs from the Broadcast Archives at WOMR.org
So forget your worries c’mon get happy at Peggy Sue’s Record Hop for a refreshing dose of simpler times.
New volunteers are always welcome to begin the training process. No experience necessary. Contact Matty matty@womr.org with any questions or to set up an orientation interview. The Program Committee is looking for a listener who is not a broadcaster to join the committee.
