Give a man a sandwich and you will feed him for a day. Teach a man to make a sandwich and you will feed him for a lifetime. When one is staring danger straight down the throat, trying to solve the riddles of the universe, one might ask themselves; What does this all mean? Why are we all here? What does the future have in store for us? …
While snacking on the radio sandwich one might be exposed to genres such as; garage, classic punk, pre-punk punk, new wave, melodica dub, reggae, hip shaker classics, dandy beats, anarchist delights, psycho surf, and the list goes on… It’s dark in here, don’t sleep!
New volunteers are always welcome to begin the training process. No experience necessary. The Program Committee is now accepting proposals from trained volunteers to fill the following openings: the 3rd Sunday of each month from 9 to midnight, and the 3rd Saturdays of each month from 9 to midnight. The station also welcomes proposals from people who would like to produce a 30 minute spoken word program on local issues. Send your proposals to Matty or contact matty@womr.org with any questions or to set up an orientation interview.
