JP started playing drums at an early age and quickly realized he could play guitar and piano as well. He has been a professional musician since the age of 13. His love for hard rock and heavy metal developed at this time when he discovered Van Halen, Rush, AC/DC, Metallica, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden. Growing up around the radio and popular DJs in Baltimore, MD helped fuel his love for cranking out the tunes. Now he blasts the heaviest music on or off the planet on WOMR with his show Blackbird Radio. He has been to countless concerts and loves the band Alter Bridge. The program committee is seeking proposals from trained volunteers to fill Thursdays from 9pm to midnight. New volunteers are welcome to begin the training process to get qualified to fill in as substitutes. Contact matty@womr.org with any questions or to set up an orientation interview.
