I am a life-long fan of the great American songbook whose interests extend into cabaret, jazz, Broadway and other contemporary music. My show, “This Time Around”, features artists and composers who recast and reimagine songs from these uniquely American genres. When not on the air, I am likely to be researching new artists or found at a club or theater in Boston or New York in search of new material to feature on my show. Whether or not you’ve heard “This Time Around” before, my deep knowledge and passion for this music makes you feel like you’re hearing something special for the first time.
New volunteers are always welcome to begin the training process. No experience necessary. The Program Committee is now accepting proposals from trained volunteers to fill the following openings: the 3rd Sunday of each month from 9 to midnight, and the 3rd Saturdays of each month from 9 to midnight. The station also welcomes proposals from people who would like to produce a 30 minute spoken word program on local issues. Send your proposals to Matty or contact matty@womr.org with any questions or to set up an orientation interview.
